8. Who am I - and what is my goal?
My name is Thomas Leverington and I'm a qualified personal trainer for over 10 years. My mission is to introduce people to weight training in a way that aligns with living a healthy lifestyle as part of a whole system that brings health in a holistic way.
A large percentage of my clientele were women, and often came to me initially hating the gym, not knowing what to do, and thinking that spending hours on the cross trainer or treadmill would transform their bodies. Who’s going to be able to commit, and therefore get results from something that they don’t like?
They wanted to find a way to make the process enjoyable, rewarding and most importantly, to get the results they were looking for.
Through introducing them to weight training with the correct guidance and support, it gave them a new perspective. This commonly yet incorrectly thought ‘male’ activity can help not only with their physical goals, but also their health and wellbeing on all levels.
